This Machine Politick project is currently ongoing. I asked a friend of mine if I could conduct an experiment in his shop, at the end of which, he will have a piece of art. The only thing I have asked in return is that I be able to use it to promote my work. He agreed, and the project is nearly half finished.
I have made many new connections while at the shop painting and have had an opportunity to talk to people about the importance of building a Conservative art movement. I am learning what Conservatives think about art and what they want to see from the movement we are building here at Liberatchik. The biggest benefit to me as an artist, on this project, is to have the opportunity to work in a larger scale and deterine the amount of time and materials required to create a mural. I am hoping to take what I am learning here to build a larger interest in patriotic and Liberty themed murals.
In this way, I hope to build a better understanding of what it means to be an American; to be a sovereign individual; and to inspire others to actively promote these ideas. I am currently planning a large scale mural at a horse farm in PA for the fall. It is my hope that I will also be able to organize a group art show for the Conservative art community. I already know so many talented people who can participate, that I am confident we will find the support we need.
In June, I am going up to the farm to speak about my art specifically, as well as the importance of promoting a Conservative cultural movement. My friend Claire has helped me form the Patriot Pony Project as part of the event in order to show support for our troops and generate interest in the movement. Ideally, this event will start to raise awareness of my work as well as the Liberatchik project, our contributing artists and ModernConservative.
Those of you who live in the PA area are welcome to join us. Please contact me if you would like to participate in the event or are a member of an organization that would like to exchange networking capabilities. Any help or support you could give would be greatly appreciated.
