The more you learn about someone, the more you learn about someone.
All of that is enough for one to fear him, dislike him, vigorously oppose him, etc.
But yesterday, I came to feel contempt for him:
Obama says Republicans will use race to stoke fear
JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Reuters) - Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama said on Friday he expects Republicans to highlight the fact that he is black as part of an effort to make voters afraid of him.
"It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy," Obama told a fundraiser in Jacksonville, Florida. "We know what kind of campaign they're going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid.
"They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?"
He said he was also set for Republicans to say "he's got a feisty wife," in trying to attack his wife Michelle.
I expected this to come from Democrat attack dogs...from the media...from Paul Krugman...Paul Begala...Bob Schrum...angry rank-and-file...moronic actresses...etc. etc.
I did NOT expect Mr. Uniter to do it. I didn't expect Mr. New Kind of Candidate for a Better Tomorrow to do it. And I certainly didn't expect Mr. Post Racial to do it.
But he did it. It's now just one step away from the final gambit. (That's right, this isn't even the worst thing yet!)
Obama's statement was that Republicans will highlight the fact that he's a black man. That would be a direct racial assault. When Obama realizes that Republicans aren't doing that, he and the rest of them are going to take a newer, more effective tack.
They're going to say that any attack—on any issue—will actually be veiled racism.
Disagree his position on the Farm Bill?
You're a racist.
Don't fancy a doubling of the capital gains tax?
You secretly hate black people.
Oppose a withdrawal from Iraq?
Where's your white sheet and pointy hood?
None of that is exaggeration. It's likely fact, and it seems that Barack Obama proved that on Friday.
Barack Obama has now crossed the line from dangerous and venal to simply rotten. Never more will I allow someone to say that agree or disagree, he seems like a nice fellow. He is not. He is a bad man.
I am going to have more to say about this.

Protests and rallies serve a purpose, and they sure are fun...but they can only do so much. Without policy initiatives and plans for implementation, all that great energy can go to waste.
Our think tank has got just the ticket, producing nationwide campaigns with achievable goals...for real results.
For too long, the left has had its way with our culture, suffusing it with propaganda, revisionism, and ugliness.
We need to do more than just complain. We need to offer resources, alternative choices, and alternative art communities... more
